Guatemala coffees are known for their balanced cups, and this lot is a prime example. Sweetness, cleanliness, aroma, complexity, body, and flavor all scored 8 when cupped by our supplier! Its production is part of an interesting initiative: our supplier found farms at an ideal elevation with fields naturally shaded by surrounding vegetation and promised the farmers better pay for beans of better quality. The results are very satisfactory. This bean is hardy enough to handle a darker roast than some, so if you favor that end of the spectrum, this one's for you!
